Russell Crowe as Noah

Russell Crowe as Noah

Film is a fast paced industry with movies being filmed all over the world just about every minute of every day.

And so we took a look at some of the most exciting 2013/14 movies that are being filmed right not.

- Fast 6

It is not very often that a 5th instalment of a franchise is one of the best but that is exactly what happened last year when Fast Five roared onto the big screen.

It went on to be the financially biggest movie of the franchise to date and so it is not a surprise that a sixth film is currently in production.

We have already seen pics of Dwayne Johnson, who is reprising the role of Luke Hobbs, and Gina Carano, one of the new faces, on set.

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster will be back as Dominic, Brian and Mia while Luke Evans is one of the big new additions to the cast list.

And Fast 6 is set to head to Scotland to film throughout September.

Fast 6 is released 24th May 2013.

- The Wolverine

Now I don't know about you but I never get bored of seeing Hugh Jackman on the big screen and he will be back next summer with The Wolverine.

It is the second standalone movie for the X-Men character as Jackman reprises the role of Logan once again.

Earlier this summer Jackman revealed that The Wolverine is not connected to the previous movie and will see the character in Japan.

Filming got underway in Picton, New South Wales as well as some filming in Sydney with James Mangold in the director's chair.

The Wolverine is released 26th July.

- Noah

2013 is set to be a busy year for Oscar winner Russell Crowe and one of the movies that he will be starring in is Noah - filming is currently underway on the project.

The movie sees Crowe team up with visionary filmmaker Darren Aronofsky to tell the biblical tale of Noah and the ark.

Emma Watson, Jennifer Connelly, Anthony Hopkins and Logan Lerman make up the all star cast list.

Filming got underway in Iceland earlier this summer before the cast and crew will travel to New York where the Ark scenes will be shot.

Noah will be released 28th March 2014.

- The Wolf Of Wall Street

It is always exciting when a Martin Scorsese project is on the horizon but when you see Leonardo DiCaprio's name at the top of the cast list you know the movie is going to be pretty special.

The actor and director have teamed up for a fifth time on The Wolf of Wall Street - which is a big screen adaptation of the Jordan Belfort novel.

The movie has already been filming a few weeks but we have seen a few images of DiCaprio all suited in downtown New York.

The movie follows a New York stockbroker refuses to cooperate in a large securities fraud case involving corruption on Wall Street, corporate banking world and mob infiltration.

Jonah Hill, Matthew McConaughey and Jon Favreau are all on the cast list for the movie. McConaughey shocked earlier this week when he was snapped on set looking very gaunt.

The actor has lost 30lbs for his next role The Dallas Buyer’s Club.

The Wolf Of Wall Street will be released next year.

- Untitled Jack Ryan Project

Well if rumours are to be believed then Chris Pine and the rest of the Jack Ryan cast will be filming on Wall Street this Labour Day weekend as production on the movie gets underway.

The character of Jack Ryan is set to return to the big screen next year as Chris Pine takes over the Tom Clancy created character.

The as yet untitled movie will see Kenneth Branagh return to the director's chair while Keira Knightley and Kevin Costner are on the cast list.

The movie is set to see Ryan working as Moscow based financial analyst who discovers that his boss is financing a terrorist attack against the U.S.

- The Nymphomaniac

One of the most talked about movies of the last few weeks have been the new project from Lars Von Trier - The Nymphomaniac.

Shia Labeouf is set to star in the steamy movie and filming is currently underway on the project.

Charlotte Gainsbourg, Stellan Skarsgard, Nicole Kidman, Jamie Bell and Connie Nielsen are all set to star.

The movie looks set to raise a few eyebrows next year with explicit sex scenes as Trier once again looks to push the boundaries.

The Nymphomaniac is released next year.

- Kick Ass 2

It was back in 2010 when Kick Ass blasted onto the big screen to rave reviews from the critics.

And two years later filming is about to get underway on the long-awaited sequel - but this time around Jeff Wadlow is in the director's chair.

Aaron Johnson is se to return as Kick Ass while Chloe Moretz and Christopher Mintz-Plasse will also be reprising their role as Hit Girl and Red Mist.

Kick Ass 2 is set for a 19th July 2013 release.

- The Hunger Games: Catching Fire

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is already one of them most anticipated movies of 2013 and filming on the sequel is about to get underway.

The Hunger Games stormed to box office success earlier this summer - it is one of the biggest grossing movies of the year so far - and so the two other books getting the green light to be adapted to movies doesn't really come as a surprise.

Jennifer Lawrence will be back as Katniss Everdeen while Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson will also be back as Gale and Peeta.

But there has been excitement around who will be vast in the new roles and Jena Malone and Sam Clafin are two of the big additions - they will take on the role of Johanna Mason and Finnick Odair.

Filming on the movie could start as earlier as Monday (3rd September) as the cast descended on the city of Atlanta.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is released 22nd November
