The Lone Ranger was a movie that has had more ups and downs in terms of getting to shooting than I care to mention but this is a movie that WILL be hitting the big screen next year.
And the first images and poster for the movie have been released this week as Armie Hammer and Johnny Depp team up for the first time.
Hammer takes on the title role while Depp, in true Depp fashion, will play Tonto while Gore Verbinski is in the director's chair.
The movie reunites Verbinski with Depp for the fourth time after working on the first three Pirates of the Caribbean movies and Rango together.
Of the images that have been released some set the scene of the movie while other promise the film will be an action packed ride.
Hammer and Depp are not the only stars on the cast list as Tom Wilkinson, Helena Bonham Carter, William Fichtner, Barry Pepper and James Badge Dale are all set to join this ensemble get together.
