Blockbusters have a knack of transforming careers and turning unknowns into stars and that is exactly what is going to happen with Transformers 4.
Michael Bay and the Transformers franchise has already had a hand in rocketing the acting careers of Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox and now Jack Reynor is set to set to be propelled to stardom.
It was announced earlier this month that Reynor is set to join Mark Wahlberg in the fourth film in the franchise. But who is Jack Reynor?
The Irish actor kicked off his acting career back in 2000 and he has moved between TV, films and shorts.
He was only eight years old when he made his debut in Country before going on to Three Wise Women and Dollhouse.
But since making that debut he has worked sparingly as he concentrated on his education.
However all that is set to change this year with a couple of projects that really shows off his talent.
What Richard Did hit the big screen yesterday as the actor teamed up with director Lenny Abrahamson.
It is the first film for Abrahamson since Garage back in 2007 and it is a striking portrait of the fall of Richard, golden-boy of his privileged set of Dublin teens, whose world unravels one summer night.
He has also completed work on drama Cold and comedy The Delivery Man and so we are going to be seeing plenty of him on the big screen this year.
However the biggest project of his career is still just around the corner as Transformers 4 will shoot later this year.
Mark Wahlberg will take over the central role from Shia LaBeouf but Reynor's character has not yet been revealed.
With Transformers 4 in the pipeline it seems that Reynor's star is only going one way and that is up - keep an eye out for this actor!!!!
Transformers 4 is set to hit the big screen 27th June 2014.
