A Most Wanted Man

A Most Wanted Man

I know the summer is in full swing, but there are a whole host of autumn movies that we are already excited about here at FemaleFirst.

There is animation to blockbusters, British movies, to action/thrillers, and we are going to take a look at some of the films.

If you love your political thrillers than A Most Wanted Man is a film that you cannot miss when it hits the big screen at the beginning of September

The movie marks the return of Anton Corbijn to the director's chair, while A Most Wanted Man is the latest of John le Carre's novels to be adapted for the big screen.

When a half-Chechen, half-Russian, brutally tortured immigrant turns up in Hamburg's Islamic community, laying claim to his father's ill-gotten fortune, both German and US security agencies take a close interest: as the clock ticks down and the stakes rise, the race is on to establish this most wanted man's true identity - oppressed victim or destruction-bent extremist?

The cast list for the film is one of the most impressive of the autumn, and will be one of the final times that we see Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Hoffman takes on the role of Günther Bachmann, and is joined by Rachel McAdams, Robin Wright, Willem Dafoe, and Daniel Bruhl.

It has been nearly twelve months since we have seen Bruhl on the big screen - Rush was the breakthrough role last year, and he continues to make a name for himself.

A Most Wanted Man will only be the third feature film of Corbijn's directing career, and his first since The American back in 2010. He grabbed everyone's attention three years earlier with the fantastic Control.

If you check out the trailer, A Most Wanted many looks set to be a movie that is fast paced and packed with political intrigue. This is so often a terrific genre of film, and A Most Wanted Man looks set to continue that fine tradition.

A Most Wanted Man is released 12th September.
