Black Nativity

If you are looking for a musical to enjoy this Christmas then look no further than Black Nativity.

The movie is based on the play by Langston Hughes and sees Kasi Lemmons back in the director's chair for the first time since Talk To Me - Lemmons has also penned the screenplay.

And we have an exclusive clip as we count down to the release of the movie:

A fantastic cast has been assembled for the film as Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett, Jacob Latimore, Tyrese Gibson and Mary J. Blige are all on board.

Black Nativity is a joyous Christmas musical, told through uplifting, soulful gospel sounds and featuring a stellar line-up of Academy Award winning actors and R&B superstars.

It's the story of Langston (Jacob Latimore) - a streetwise teen from Baltimore, who journeys to New York City to spend Christmas with his estranged grandparents, Reverend Cornell Cobbs (Forest Whitaker) and his wife Aretha (Angela Basset).

Struggling to find his way in New York and to abide by his grandfather's strict rules, Langston is determined to return home to his mother, Naima (Jennifer Hudson).

But just as things seem to have hit rock bottom, Langston embarks on a surprising and inspirational journey and along with new friends and a little divine intervention, he discovers the true meaning of faith, healing and family.

Black Nativity is released 6th December.
