It has been twenty years since The Blair Witch Project hit the big screen and now the highly anticipated Blair Witch is coming our way this September… and audiences are taken back into the woods to face a new terror.

The Blair Witch Project is one of the most iconic horror movies of all time and now director Adam Wingard is continuing the story. This director already has films such as You're Next and What Fun We Were Having under his belt but this is his first feature film since the release of The Guest 2014.
While Wingard is no stranger to the director's chair, Blair Witch looks set to be the biggest film project of his career to date and I am looking forward to seeing where he goes with this tale. The screenplay has been written by Simon Barrett.
We are going to have to wait a few more weeks for the film to hit the big screen but the brand new trailer has arrived. Take a look:
James Allen McCune takes on the central role of James, who sets out to find out what happened to his sister twenty years earlier. McCune is joined on the cast list Corbin Reid, Wes Robinson, Valorie Curry, Callie Hernandez, and Brandon Scott.
It's been 20 years since James's sister and her two friends vanished into the Black Hills Forest in Maryland while researching the legend of the Blair Witch, leaving a trail of theories and suspicions in their wake.
James (McCune and his friends Peter (Scott), Ashley (Reid) and film student Lisa (Hernandez) venture into the same woods each with a camera to uncover the mysteries surrounding their disappearance. At first, the group is hopeful, especially when a pair of locals Lane (Robinson) and Talia (Curry) offer to act as guides through the dark and winding woods. But as the endless night wears on, the group is visited by a menacing presence.
Slowly, they begin to realize the legend is all too real and more sinister than they could have imagined.
Blair Witch is promising to be another edge of your seat horror film and one that is not to be missed this autumn. Just how will it compare to its predecessor? I guess we are going to have to wait and see.
Blair Witch is released 15th September.
