Jennifer Aniston has been wowing just about everyone with her central performance in Cake over the last few months, and now the movie is finally about to be released into UK cinemas.

Cake

Cake

Aniston takes on the central role of a woman who has suffered the loss of a child and is struggling to cope with chronic pain after a car accident. This is a role that we have not seen Aniston tackle before and it is set to be a performance that could well change the direction of her career.

The actress may have missed out on an Oscar nomination, but she picked up nods at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild over the last few months - losing out to Julianne Moore. Cake is a movie that I have been looking forward to for some time, as it is Aniston as we have never seen her before.

With just a couple of days to go before the film hits the big screen we have a trio of great new clips for you to take a look at:

Aniston takes on the role of Claire in the film, and is joined on the cast list by Sam Worthington, Anna Kendrick, Adriana Barraza, Felicity Huffman, and William H. Macy, while Daniel Barnz is in the director's chair. Cake is the fourth feature film from Barnz and is his first project since Won't Back Down back in 2012.

Cake takes us into the darkly funny world of Claire Bennett (Aniston) who initiates a dubious relationship with a widower (Worthington) while confronting fantastical hallucinations of his dead wife (Kendrick).

We all known Ainston best for her role in Friends and a string of successful romantic comedies, but Cake looks set to show off a very different side to her as an actress - shame she didn't snag her first Oscar nomination for her central performance.

Cake is released 20th February.
