Carrie

Carrie

Carrie is one of the movies that horror fans have been waited for with baited breath - and they have had to wait longer than expected after the film got pushed back to November.

It was back in 1976 when the Stephen King novel was adapted for the big screen for the first time; but now director Kimberly Peirce is putting her spin on this well known tale.

Peirce made a name for herself with Boys Don't Cry but we have not seen her in the director's chair since 2008 and Stop-Loss.

Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has made a name for himself writing for TV projects such as Glee and Big Love and he makes his feature film writing debut with Carrie.

Chloe Moretz is an actress who has moved around from genre to genre in recent years as she has made quite a name for herself.

This is not the first time that she has tackled a horror project after starring in Let Me In.

She will take on the title role in the movie as she teams up with Oscar nominated actress Julianne Moore.

A re-imagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Moore), who unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.

There has been excitement building around this movie all year as the story of Carrie will be brought to a new generation.

The trailer looks like the film is going to be a dark and exciting ride and it is a film that we are looking forward to here at FemaleFirst.

Carrie is released 29th November
