If you are a fan of British film, then Catch Me Daddy is a movie that you shouldn't miss this weekend as we are introduced to filmmaker Daniel Wolfe.

Catch Me Daddy

Catch Me Daddy

Wolfe has been behind short films such as 93 Till Infinity and music videos for Plan B and The Shoes, but Catch Me Daddy will mark his feature film directorial debut.

As well as being in the director's chair, Wolfe has teamed up with his brother Matthew to pen a hard-hitting script that explores honour killings.

Catch Me Daddy is one of the standout movies of this weekend and here is a great clip to whet your appetite further:

As well as a new name behind the camera, there is also a new name in front of it as Sameena Jabeen Ahmed gives a terrific central performance as Laila.

Ahmed went on to win Best Newcomer at the BFI London Film Festival last year - where it received its British debut and was met with acclaim.

Laila, a girl on the run from her family is hiding out in West Yorkshire with her drifter boyfriend Aaron. When her brother arrives in town with a gang of thugs in tow, she is forced to flee for her life and faces her darkest night.

Catch Me Daddy is a bold and explosive movie that allows some terrific British talent to shine, both in front of and behind the camera.

Catch Me Daddy is out now.
