Channing Tatum in 22 Jump Street

Channing Tatum has already had a successful year scoring a #1 hit with The Lego Movie, but now he is back with 22 Jump Street.

2104 is set to be a very busy year for the actor as we are going to see him leap from comedy to sci-fi, to drama to voice work: and all his upcoming projects look like they are going to be huge successes.

22 Jump Street comes two years after 21 Jump Street, and sees him reunite with Jonah Hill: this really is set to be one of the comedy films of the summer.

The movie sees Tatum & Hill reprise the role of Jenko and Schmidt, as they go undercover at college.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are back in the director's chair: this is the third time that Tatum has worked with the pair, after 21 Jump Street and The Lego Movie.

If you are a fan of Tatum then you are in for a treat in 2014, as we are going to be seeing plenty of the actor.

Jupiter Ascending is another summer film in which he is going to star, as he teams up with Mila Kunis for the first time.

Jupiter Ascending marks the return of Andy & Lana Wachowski for the first time since Cloud Atlas, in what is set to be another sci-fi epic from the directors.

The movie will see Tatum take on the character of Caine - who is tasked with protecting human Jupiter Jones: her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

Tatum & Kunis are joined by a terrific support cast, as Douglas Booth, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, and James D'Arcy are all also on board.

2014 is set to be another great year for sci-fi, and Jupiter Ascending promises to be one of the movies not to miss.

However, the Channing Tatum movie that just about everyone is talking about is Foxcatcher.

Foxcatcher premiered at the Cannes Film Festival at the end of May, and was met with critical acclaim: it is already being tipped as a possible Oscar contender.

Tatum, Steve Carell, and Mark Ruffalo are all on board, while Bennett Miller is back in the director's chair. Miller has brought us films such as Capote & Moneyball in recent years, and I cannot wait to see his latest offering.

Foxcatcher tells the story of Olympic Gold Medal-winning wrestler Mark Schultz (Tatum), who sees a way out from the shadow of his more celebrated wrestling brother Dave (Ruffalo) and a life of poverty when he is summoned by eccentric multi-millionaire John du Pont (Carell) to move onto his estate and train for the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

Desperate to gain the respect of his disapproving mother, du Pont begins "coaching" a world-class athletic team and, in the process, lures Mark into dangerous habits, breaks his confidence and drives him into a self-destructive spiral.

Could we be seeing Tatum as a possible Oscar nominee at the beginning of next year... we really are going to have to watch this space.

Tatum has always mixed and matched his roles throughout his career, but I think Foxcatcher could be the one that sets him on a very different path.

22 Jump Street is released 6th June.
