Bradley Cooper is a bit of a favourite here at FemaleFirst and we are looking forward to seeing him return to the big screen in January with American Sniper.

American Sniper

American Sniper

Cooper will take on the role of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle in the movie that recounts his time in the military, which is based on Kyle's own memoir of the same name.

Not only is it exciting to see Cooper back on the big screen and in a major leading role, but American Sniper also sees Clint Eastwood back in the director's chair returning to the war genre for the first time since Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima back in 2006 and 2007.

The Hollywood Reporter has released a brand new clip from the film, and we have it for you to take a look at:

While Cooper is going to be heart and soul of American Sniper, he is joined on the cast list by Sienna Miller, Luke Grime, Kyle Gallner, and Sam Jaeger.

U.S. Navy SEAL Chris Kyle is sent to Iraq with only one mission: to protect his brothers-in-arms. His pinpoint accuracy saves countless lives on the battlefield and, as stories of his courageous exploits spread, he earns the nickname 'Legend.'

However, his reputation is also growing behind enemy lines, putting a price on his head and making him a prime target of insurgents. He is also facing a different kind of battle on the home front: striving to be a good husband and father from halfway around the world.

Despite the danger, as well as the toll on his family at home, Chris serves through four harrowing tours of duty in Iraq, personifying the SEAL creed to 'leave no man behind. But upon returning to his wife, Taya Renae Kyle (Miller), and kids, Chris finds that it is the war he can't leave behind.

January is going to be a terrifically exciting month for all film fans, and American Sniper is one of the films that I am looking forward to the most and is not to be missed.

American Sniper is released 16th January 2015.
