Dope debuted at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and now there's less than two weeks to go before the film hits the big screen here in the UK.

Dope

Written and directed by Rick Famuyiwa, Dope competed in the U.S. Dramatic Competition category at the festival, and is already one of the most talked about movies of the summer.

It looks set to be one of the unmissable September movies and we have a trio of terrific new clips for you to take a look at ahead of the film's release:

Famuyiwa is no stranger to the director's chair with the likes of The Wood and Brown Sugar already under his belt - Dope is the filmmaker's first movie since the release of Our Family Wedding back in 2010.

Dope has also got a whole host of great names backing the project as Oscar winner has served as producer and Pharrell Williams and Sean Combs are also on board as executive producer.

A great cast has also been assembled in front of the camera with Shameik Moore set to take on the central role of Malcolm. This is only the second big screen project of Moore's career and the first movie lead role. With television series The Get Down also on the way, Moore is set to be a name to watch out for over the next couple of years.

Moore is joined on the cast list by Tony Revolori, Kiersey Clemons, Zoe Kravitz, Kimberly Elise, Chanel Iman, and Tyga. Forest Whitaker will also serve as the film's narrator.

In Dope, Malcolm (Moore) is carefully surviving life in a tough neighbourhood in Los Angeles while juggling college applications, academic interviews, and the SAT.

A chance invitation to an underground party leads him into an adventure that could allow him to go from being a geek, to being dope, to ultimately being himself.

September is set to be a great film month with a whole host of terrific film on the horizon and Dope is set to be just one of the movies that you cannot miss.

Dope is released 4th September.
