Ben Affleck is set to return to the big screen this autumn as he leads the cast in new drama The Accountant.

The Accountan

The Accountant sees Affleck take on the central role of Christian Wolff as he teams up with filmmaker Gavin O'Connor for the first time.

O'Connor has brought us films such as Warrior and Pride and Glory during his career and it is good to see him back in the director's chair for his second film of the year; the first came in the form of Jane Got a Gun.

We are going to have to wait until November for the film to be released, but the brand new trailer has arrived. Take a look:

The director has brought together a great cast as Affleck will star alongside Anna Kendrick, Jon Bernthal, J.K. Simmons, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Tambor, and Alison Wright.

Christian Wolff (Affleck) is a math savant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance accountant for some of the world's most dangerous criminal organizations.

With the Treasury Department's Crime Enforcement Division, run by Ray King (Simmons), starting to close in, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of- the- art robotics company where an accounting clerk (Anna Kendrick) has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian uncooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.

2016 has already been a busy and successful year for Affleck with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice under his belt. He is also set to make a cameo appearance in Suicide Squad later this summer.

The Accountant is set to be a thriller not to miss this autumn... could it be an early Oscar contender?

The Accountant is released 4th November.
