With the release of Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets on DVD and Blu-ray right around the corner, we’re getting more and more excited about seeing the sci-fi adventure all over again. Starring the likes of Cara Delevingne, Dane Dehaan, Rihanna and Clive Owen, the flick is one you have to see to believe, and we’ve got our hands on an exclusive video feature going behind-the-scenes and delving into some of the training that Cara went through for the role. Taking place in the year 2740, the film follows the journey that Valerian and Laureline take whilst serving as special operatives for the government, doing their all to maintain order, calm and peace throughout the universe. Moving to the intergalactic city of Alpha for their latest mission, they’ll find themselves become one with the metropolis of thousands of different species from all over the galaxy, before being drawn into drama that sees them go up against an unknown threat who’s attacking the historic city.
As the cornerstone of the universe, Valerian and Laureline must do everything in their power to stop the destruction of the city, or face some of the most earth-shattering consequences there could ever be.
Based on the renowned comic books by Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mézières, the film’s brought to fans by director Luc Besson (The Fifth Element), who also wrote the screenplay and produces alongside Virginie Besson-Silla.
Ethan Hawke, Herbie Hancock, Kris Wu, Rutger Hauer, John Goodman, Elizabeth Debicki, Sam Spruell, Alain Chabat, Thom Findlay, Mathieu Kassovitz, Jonas Bloquet, Sand Van Roy, Sasha Luss, Louis Leterrier and Olivier Megaton all also star.
