There’s no denying the incredible impact this year’s Wonder Woman has had upon the world. Led by the brilliant Gal Gadot in the titular role, with Patty Jenkins behind the camera in the Director’s Chair, the film has taken in over $800 million in the worldwide box office and proven that if you want a superhero movie to be a success, you don’t need a male in the leading role.

Now with a sequel confirmed and both Gadot and Jenkins set to make their return, it’s clear that Wonder Woman is one of the DC Extended Universe’s biggest successes. Also known as Diana, princess of the Amazons, Wonder Woman has spent her life being trained to be the ultimate warrior. Raised on a sheltered island inhabited only by women, her life is turned upside down when an American pilot crashes onto their shores and tells them of the danger of a major conflict going on in the outside world.

Leaving her home, knowing that she cannot return once she does so, Diana fights alongside man in the war to end all war, discovering her true powers and her true destiny.

Also starring Chris Pine, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, David Thewlis, Danny Huston, Elena Anaya, Ewen Bremner and Saïd Taghmaoui, Wonder Woman comes from a screenplay written by Allan Heinberg and Geoff Johns, based on a story by Heinberg and Zack Snyder, with charaters from DC Entertainment.

Wonder Woman arrives onto Digital Download on September 25 and is out on 4K UHD, Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray and DVD on October 9.
