I don't know about you, but I have been desperate to see some footage from The Fantastic Four for so long… and finally, the first trailer for the movie has arrived.

The Fantastic Four is a franchise that is being given a major reboot this summer by Josh Trank, as he returns to the director's chair for the first time since he made his directorial debut with Chronicle back in 2012.

The movie will see Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B Jordan, and Jamie Bell will take over the roles of Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm, and Ben Grimm - and we get a first look at them in this great new teaser trailer:

Toby Kebbell will also be joining Teller, Mara, Jordan, and Bell on the cast list as he has landed the role of Dr Doom in the highly anticipated superhero film.

Fantastic Four is a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel's original and longest-running superhero team, centres on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways.

Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.

It was 2007 when we last saw a Fantastic Four movie on the big screen - we all remember the not so great Rise of the Silver Surfer - and I cannot wait to see how Trank puts his stamp on this. I was a huge fan of his debut Chronicle, and he really is one of the most exciting filmmakers around.

The Fantastic Four may not have hit the big screen yet but a sequel is already in the pipeline for 2017, we could see the birth of an exciting new superhero franchise this summer. I have my fingers crossed that this great comic book finally delivers on the big screen.

The Fantastic Four is released 6th August.
