Hercules

Hercules

I am a big fan of Dwayne Johnson, and if anyone was born to play Hercules on the big screen, it was him.

And that is exactly what Johnson is going to do this summer, as he teams up with director Brett Ratner for the first time.

Ratner is no stranger to the action film or blockbuster, with the likes of Rush Hour and X-Men: The Last Stand under his belt... Hercules looks like it is going to be an octane-fuelled ride.

The first clip for the film has been released, and we have it to share with you:

A terrific cast has been assembled as Ian McShane, John Hurt, Joseph Fiennes and Rufus Sewell will join Johnson on the cast list.

Based on Radical Comics’ ‘Hercules,’ this ensemble-action film, featuring an international cast, is a revisionist take on the classic myth set in a grounded world where the supernatural does not exist.

We haven't seen Johnson on the big screen since Fast & Furious 6 and Pain & Gain last summer, but Hercules promises to be another huge movie for the actor.

Hercules is released 8th August.
