Stephen Frears is one of the most exciting filmmakers around and is back this week with his latest film Florence Foster Jenkins.

Florence Foster Jenkins

Florence Foster Jenkins is the latest biopic picture from Frears - who is no stranger to this genre with the likes of The Queen and Philomena under his belt in recent years.

It is always exciting when a Frears movie is on the horizon and I cannot wait to see him team up with Meryl Streep for the first time.

The movie will hit the big screen at the end of the week and we have a great new clip for you to take a look at. Check it out:

Streep is set to take on the title role of Florence Foster Jenkins, a New York heiress who dreamed of becoming an opera singer.

The Oscar-winner is joined on the cast list by Hugh Grant, Simon Helberg, Rebecca Ferguson, Neve Gachev, and Nina Arianda.

Florence Foster Jenkins tells the inspirational true story of the eponymous New York heiress who obsessively pursued her dream of becoming a great singer. The film celebrates the human spirit, the power of music and the passion of amateurs everywhere.

The voice Florence (Streep) heard in her head was divine, but to the rest of the world, it was hilariously awful. At private recitals, her devoted husband and manager, St Clair Bayfield (Grant), managed to protect Florence from the truth. But when Florence decided to give her first public concert at New York's Carnegie Hall, St Clair realised he had perhaps bitten off more than he could chew.

Florence Foster Jenkins is released 6th May.
