Gerard Butler is set to return to the big screen next week and will be kicking some ass in new action movie Olympus Has Fallen.
2013 has already been a very varied year for the actor as he has moved from rom-com with Playing For Keeps to comedy with Movie 42 and now he is back in an action role.
Olympus Has Fallen sees him team up with his old mate Antoine Fuqua in their first movie project together.
In this video interview Butler reveals that he and Fuqua had been looking for a project to work together on for some time.
He goes on to talk about his character describing him as a man who has fallen from grace but has a chance to redeem himself.
The film sees him team up with Aaron Eckhart and Butler had nothing but praise for his co-star, calling him 'phenomenal'.
Olympus Has Fallen marks the return to the director's chair for Fuqua for the first time since 2010 - having been and worked on a TV movie.
But he has assembled a fine cast as Butler and Eckhart are joined by Morgan freeman, Angela Bassett, Cole Hauser, Melissa Leo and Rick Yune.
