Gravity

Gravity

Yesterday we brought you the great first poster for Gravity and now we have a teaser trailer for you to enjoy.

Alfonso Cuarón is an incredibly exciting director and made a splash back in 2006 when he brought P.D. James' novel Children of Men to the big screen.

He returns to science fiction with his new movie Gravity, which is already one of the most anticipated movies of 2013.

And that excitement is growing as the first trailer for the film has been released for you to take a look at:

But as if Cuarón in the director's chair is not enough to excite you then the movie sees Oscar winners George Clooney and Sandra Bullock join forces for the first time.

We haven't seen Clooney on the big screen since The Descendants while Bullock has a busier year with The Heat also set for release.

Bullock plays Dr. Ryan Stone, a brilliant medical engineer on her first shuttle mission, with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsky (Clooney) in command of his last flight before retiring.

But on a seemingly routine spacewalk, disaster strikes. The shuttle is destroyed, leaving Stone and Kowalsky completely alone - tethered to nothing but each other and spiraling out into the blackness.

The deafening silence tells them they have lost any link to Earth... and any chance for rescue.

As fear turns to panic, every gulp of air eats away at what little oxygen is left. But the only way home may be to go further out into the terrifying expanse of space.

We have been treated to some really great space dramas in recent years - the likes of Sunshine and Moon spring to mind - and Gravity looks set to follow that very fine tradition.

It is great to see Cuarón back in the director's chair and I can't wait to see what he has in store for us.
