It is that time of year again, when the Forbes list of highest paid stars is revealed... for the second year in a row Robert Downey Jr has come out on top.

We take a look at the actor that made the top five and the money that they raked in over the last twelve months.

- Robert Downey Jr - $70 million

Robert Downey Jr really has been on top of the world since landing the role of Iron Man back in 2008... and it is this role that has earnt him the most cash over the last year.

Iron Man 3 hit the big screen last summer and was the only film of 2013 to gross over $1 billion at the box office.

He made an appearance in Chef earlier this summer, and will be back in The Judge later this autumn.

Downey Jr will also be reprising the role of Iron Man in Avengers: Age of Ultron next year - which looks set to be one of the biggest films of the year. That should earn him another nice wad of cash!!!

- Dwayne Johnson - $52 million

Dwayne Johnson has become one of the most popular big screen actors since make the switch from wrestling, and he keeps finding himself in hugely successful films.

Last year we saw him star in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, Pain & Gain, and Fast & Furious 6 - the latter saw him reprise the role of Luke Hobbs.

The Fast & Furious franchise has been getting bigger and bigger with every instalment, and the sixth film has been the most financially successful so far.

Johnson is back on the big screen this week with Hercules, and will star in Fast & Furious 7 next year.

- Bradley Cooper - $46 million

Bradley Cooper has become one of the most in demand actors of late, with two Oscar nominations in 2013 and 2014.

The Place Beyond The Pines and The Hangover Part III were his two big projects in 2013 - one gaining critical acclaim and the other box office success.

He kicked off 2014 in style with American Hustle - which saw him receive a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination. He is back next week with Guardians of the Galaxy.

Guardians of the Galaxy is his first Marvel film, and looks set to be one of the biggest movies of his career to date - what will his Marvel future hold?

- Leonardo DiCaprio - $39 million

2013 was also a terrific year for Leonardo DiCaprio, as he starred in Django Unchained and The Great Gatsby - two films that enjoyed success.

However, 2014 has got even better for the actor, as he reunited with Martin Scorsese for The Wolf of Wall Street.

The movie was a critical smash and a commercial hit, and showed off DiCaprio in all of his acting glory.

The Wolf of Wall Street will be the only big screen outing for DiCaprio this year, but he is set to start work on The Revenant with Tom Hardy.

- Chris Hemsworth - $37 million

Chris Hemsworth is another actor who has seen his star rocket after landing a Marvel role.

Hemsworth returned to the role of Thor last year as Thor: The Dark World hit the big screen: the second film in the franchise.

The movie went on to be more successful than the first, and a third film is in the pipeline. Rush was also a huge success in 2013, as Hemsworth teamed up with Ron Howard for the first time.

Hemsworth with be back as Thor in Avengers: Age of Ultron next year, and has also completed work on Cyber and Heart of the Sea. His star is only going one way... and that is up!!

The rest of the top ten was made up by Liam Neeson ($36 million), Ben Affleck ($35 million), Christian Bale ($35 million), Will Smith (32 million), and Mark Wahlberg ($32 million).
