Jeune & Jolie

Jeune & Jolie

Jeune & Jolie (Young & Beautiful) is one of the movies that stood out at the BFI London Film Festival as Francois Ozon returned to the director's chair.

Ozon is famed for creating character driven movies, and Jeune & Jolie see him continue that trend as he teams up with actress Marine Vacth: a young actress that you really do need to keep an eye out for.

The movie will be hitting the big screen at the end of November and here is the brand new trailer for you to take a look at:

Vacth take on the role of Isabelle, who begins to explore her sexuality by becoming a prostitute. The movie follows her sexual exploitations as she struggles with the thrill and the guilt.

Vacth is simply superb in the central role as she delivers a performances that strong and yet totally heartbreaking.

She is joined on the cast list by Géraldine Pailhas, Frédéric Pierrot and Charlotte Rampling  in what is a very powerful coming of age story.

Ozon has delivered some great movies of late and Jeune & Jolie comes hot off the heels of the success of In The House and Potiche.

Jeune & Jolie is released 29th November. Read our Jeune & Jolie review from the BFI London Film Festival.

I have been reading really good things about this film and it sounds like it is going to be a compelling watch.

I am a big fan of François Ozon as he always produces character driven films. Can't wait to see this.
