Mama

Mama

Mama is the one horror movie that I am super excited about this year as it sees Guillermo Del Toro with his producing hat on.

It his film is even half as good as The Orphanage then we really are in for a treat - and if you have not seen that or Julia 's Eyes then you need to check them out.

Jessica Chastain really is the actress of the moment and we see her tackle the horror genre for the first time as she takes on the central role of Annabel, not to mention that she looks totally fantastic with her cropped black hair.

We have some fab clips for the movie for you to check out:

Del Toro has a bit of a knack of uncovering great new directing talent and Mama sees Andrés Muschietti make his feature length directorial debut - he has also had a hand in the script.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau joins Chastain on the cast list while we are introduced to Megan Charpentier and Isabelle Nelisse.

Five years ago, sisters Victoria and Lilly vanished from their suburban neighbourhood without a trace.

Since then, their Uncle Lucas (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and his girlfriend, Annabel (Jessica Chastain), have been madly searching for them.

But when, incredibly, the kids are found alive in a decrepit cabin, the couple wonders if the girls are the only guests they have welcomed into their home.

As Annabel tries to introduce the children to a normal life, she grows convinced of an evil presence in their house. Are the sisters experiencing traumatic stress, or is a ghost coming to visit them?

Mama is released 22nd February.
