Tim Burton is one of the most visionary filmmakers working in Hollywood today and it is always exciting when one of his movies is on the horizon.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children

And Burton is set to return to the director's chair this September with this latest film Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, which is based on the book of the same name by Ransom Riggs.

I have been a Burton fans of years, and I always look forward to seeing the world that he creates with every movie that he makes. This is the first time that Burton has been in the director's chair since Big Eyes back in 2014.

Jane Goldman, who has written scripts for Kingsman: The Secret Service, The Woman in Black and X-Men: First Class, has adapted Riggs' book into a screenplay.

The movie sees Burton reunite with Eva Green, who takes on the title role of Miss Peregrine. The pair first worked together on Dark Shadows and this is their second film project together.

The film boasts a wonderful cast of up and coming acting talent with more established stars as Asa Butterfield, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris O'Dowd, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Judi Dench, Ella Purnell, Lauren McCrostie, Cameron King, and Milo Parker are some of the names that are on board.

When his beloved grandfather leaves Jake clues to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, he finds a magical place known as Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children.

But the mystery and danger deepen as he gets to know the residents and learns about their special powers... and their powerful enemies. Ultimately, Jake discovers that only his own special 'peculiarity' can save his new friends.

Burton is a filmmaker who has always allowed his imagination to spill onto the screen and Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children would seem like the perfect source material for him to have fun with.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children looks like it will miss adventure and fantasy with some wonderful gothic elements and I cannot wait to see what Burton and co deliver.

Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children is released 30th September.
