Hollywood heartthrob and rising star Alex Pettyfer has spoken to junior reporters for education charity FILMCLUB, ahead of the release of his new film - action adventure I Am Number Four, which is released in UK cinemas on 23 February.

Pettyfer (Stormbreakers) told Young Ambassadors  - Harry Clayton (13), Callum Bates (14) and Victoria Bowes (13)  about the challenges making the new action-adventure movie which chronicles the story of an extraordinary young man, John Smith (Pettyfer), who is a fugitive on the run from ruthless enemies sent to destroy him.

The youngsters also caught up with the film’s director DJ Caruso (Disturbia and Eagle Eye) and new star Teresa Palmer (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice) about their roles in making the explosive new film.

Alex Pettyfer tweeted @FILMCLUBUK after the event about being interviewed by the Young Ambassadors, saying, "It was my pleasure, I’m glad you were all able to attend!"

This is one of many fantastic reporting assignments that FILMCLUB’s 35 Young Ambassadors have already participated in - already Callum, Harry and Victoria have quizzed  the stars at film premieres and press junkets for top films like the Hole 3D, Scott Pilgrim vs the World and BAFTA nominee Another Year.

FILMCLUB, the nationwide education charity, offers access to thousands of popular and classic films from around the world for young people and teachers to watch and discuss in their school film clubs. 

The Young Ambassador scheme, which is part of the organisations Close Encounters programme, offers members a unique access and insight into life behind the camera.
