Amanda Bynes has "strong comic chops".
The 23-year-old actress - who shot to fame in children's channel Nickelodeon's 'The Amanda Show' - has been signed by Screen Gems to appear in two movies after wowing bosses with her comedy talents.
Screen Gems president Clint Culpepper said: "She's one of the few who can make that graceful transition from kid to adult star because she has such strong comic chops."

The 'She's The Man' star will appear alongside 'Superbad' actress Emma Stone in 'Easy A' as a popular high school teenager.
The film sees Emma's character plagued by false rumours about her sex life until she exploits the rumour mill for her own benefit to boost her popularity.
The other project is currently in the making, with Amanda and Clint working together to find a suitable movie.
