Amanda Peet has signed up for the lead female role in '2012'.The actress - who stars in this summer's 'The X-Files: I Want to Believe' alongside David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson - will play John Cusack's ex-wife in the story about a global cataclysm and the heroic struggle of the survivors. Peet's character Margaret Colin has since remarried a wealthy man but she is reunited with Cusack's character Jeff Goldblum as the planet teeters on the brink of total destruction.Other stars signed up to do the movie, which will start shooting next month, include Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Thandie Newton and Danny Glover.The film, which is being produced by Roland Emmerich, is set to be released next July.0Comments | Be the first to comment!
