Angelina Jolie Keep To Play Cleo

Angelina Jolie has admitted that she is keen to play Cleopatra.

The Oscar winning actress has been linked to the role in a new movie about the Egyptian Queen. And while she is keen for the role she admits that projects is not yet ready

Speaking to MTV the actress said:  "I hope to one day [play her], but we don't have it all together. All the pieces are not together.

"I think there's a lot about her history that's not been explored and properly done."

But Jolie is back on the big screen this week as she teams up with Johnny Depp for The Tourist, which also stars Paul Bettany and Timothy Dalton.

After taking two years away from the big screen, her last movie being Wanted in summer 2008, Jolie returned this summer with action movie Salt, which enjoyed box office success.

The actress is currently turning director as she helms a new movie about a romance set during the Bosnian War.

The Tourist is released 10th December.
