Anne Hathaway Calls Catwoman Dream Role

Anne Hathaway has revealed that she had always wanted to play Catwoman.

The Oscar nominated actress is all set to follow in the footsteps of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry in The Dark Knight Rises.

She is currently filming the Christopher Nolan movie alongside Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon Levitt, Gary Oldman and Michael Caine.

Speaking to the Press Association the actress said: "It was [my dream].

"When I started off, with my first role in The Princess Diaries, one of the questions people kept asking me again and again was 'Did you grow up dreaming about being a princess?' And the truth was, no, I want to be Catwoman.

"So it is pretty cool that has worked out,"

And Hathaway can currently be seen on the big screen with her latest movie project One Day, an adaptation of the David Nicholls novel of the same name.

The Dark Knight Rises is released 20th July 2012.
