Argo

Argo has topped the U.S. box office in the third week of it's release.

The movie marks the return of Ben Affleck to the director's chair - he also stars in the film - and it is a movie that has been drowning in praise.

The movie was at number two seven days ago but jumped up one place to topple Paranormal Activity 4 from the top of the chart.

Hotel Transylvania was also up this week as it moved two places from four up to number two.

One of the most talked about movies is Cloud Atlas, which is released in the UK next February, as it opened at number three.

The movie is based on the David Mitchell novel of the same name and sees Tom Hanks and Halle Berry take on multiple roles.

Paranormal Activity 4 slipped three places on the chart down to four while Silent Hill: Revelation was new in at five.

Taken 2 slipped out of the top five this week as it dropped three places down to six while Here Comes The Boom was a none mover at seven.
