Quantum of Solace may have dominated the American box office this wee grossing more than Casino Royale but 007 still remains at the top of the UK box office for the third week.

The twenty second Bond film dominated proceedings this week as it grossed over £5 million, so far the film has grossed $317 million at the global box office, it's closest rival was the second place Max Payne which took just over £1 million in it's opening weekend.

Starring Mark Wahlberg Max Payne is the latest computer game to get a big screen makeover and, despite poor reviews, topped the US box office and now finds further success here in the UK.

Bond and Max Payne were the only two movies to break the £1 million barrier as High School Musical 3: Senior Year dropped one place to number three.

Zack and Miri Make A Porno was another new entry at number four while Ricky Gervais' Ghost Town dropped two place to number five. Indian film Dostana was the only other new entry in this week's Top 10, entering the chart in sixth place.
