Bertinelli Lands Hunt As Marathon Partner

Valerie Bertinelli has found a running partner in fellow actress Bonnie Hunt after convincing the Jerry Maguire star to run a marathon with her next year (10).

The One Day at a Time actress dropped 50 pounds (22.6 kilograms) to compete in a 13.1-mile (21-kilometre) race in July (09), crossing the finish line in two hours, 12 minutes and 19 seconds.

Now rocker Eddie Van Halen's ex-wife is ready to go the extra distance and take part in a full marathon - and she's won over Hunt to join her in the challenge.

I'm gonna run a marathon next year. I ran a half marathon in July. I did pretty well, so I figured the next goal (is) a whole one.

During an appearance on the Bonnie Hunt Show on Monday (09Nov09), Bertinelli said, "I'm gonna run a marathon next year. I ran a half marathon in July. I did pretty well, so I figured the next goal (is) a whole one."

Hunt praised her for her dedication to her fitness regime before declaring her own interest in shaping up - prompting Bertinelli to sign her up for the marathon.

She warned Hunt, "You have six months to train."
