Brad Pitt Ditches Walking Stick for PGA Awards

Brad Pitt managed to walk the red carpet at the Producers Guild of America (PGA) Awards unaided on Saturday (21Jan12) for the first time since injuring his knee during a recent family vacation.

The Hollywood hunk tore a ligament trying to save his daughter Viviennefrom a fall while enjoying a skiing holiday over the New Year (12).

He has been hobbling around with the help of a cane ever since, limpingalong to attend California's Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala and the Golden Globes earlier this month (Jan12).

But Pitt was able to ditch the walking stick on Saturday to escort his girlfriend Angelina Jolie to the PGA Awards in Los Angeles, where she waspresented with the Stanley Kramer Award for her feature directorial debut In the Land of Blood and Honey.

He tells Eonline.com, "It's better. I have to wear a brace for a month.Then I'll have rehab. I'll be alright as long as the kids don't hit me from the side".

Meanwhile, Pitt has ruled out ever following in Jolie's footsteps and becoming a filmmaker, insisting it's just not for him.

The star has already stepped behind the scenes to work as a producer onfilms such as Kick-Ass, Eat Pray Love, The Tree of Life and Moneyball, but he has no desire to take charge of the cameras for himself.

When asked if he has any plans to try directing, he tells PopSugar.com,"Hell no! I'm just not interested".
