Brad Pitt is set to play a vampire in a new movie.
The Hollywood actor - who is keen to make the most of the current vampire trend following the huge success of the 'Twilight' films - is set to team up with the producers of the saga, Summit Entertainment, to make a film called 'Vlad'.
The 45-year-old star will play the central character, a bloodthirsty young Transylvanian prince who is known to history as Vlad the Impaler and who inspired the Dracula myth.
'Queer As Folk' actor Charlie Hunnam has penned the script for the movie, and music video maker Anthony Mandler - who has worked with pop star Rihanna on ten of her singles - is in talks to direct the feature.
According to reports, Brad's Plan B Entertainment company - who recently acquired the screen rights to video game 'Dark Void' - will also help produce the project.
After exploring the romantic angst of vampires in 'Twilight', Summit Entertainment are keen to make 'Vlad' into more of an action film based on the most famous of the fanged, Dracula.
