Bruce Willis is set to star in three new action movies.

The 54-year-old 'Die Hard' actor has reportedly begun negotiations to take the lead roles in 'Inventory', 'Red' and 'Scarpa'.

'Inventory' would see the star play a detective working on a murder case, while 'Red' - based on a comic book - would see him depicting a former Black Ops soldier who is brought out of retirement when he is threatened by an assassin.

It is believed Bruce's '16 Blocks' director Richard Donner is favourite to take the helm on 'Red', while 'Scarpa' - which is about FBI informant Greg Scarpa who worked undercover in a New York mob family - is to be helmed by Antoine Fuqua.

Bruce's next movie, sci-fi thriller 'Surrogates' is due for release this autumn.
