Cameron Diaz Loves Acting Variety

Cameron Diaz has revealed that she loves the variety that her job brings her.

The actress is back on the big screen this summer as she re-unites with her Vanilla Sky co-star Tom Cruise for Knight & Day.

Over the years Diaz has mixed and matched her roles moving from Charlie's Angels to Gangs of New York to voicing the character of Fiona in the Shrek movies.

And she admits that it's the different roles that make her career an 'adventure'.

Speaking to the Scotsman Newspaper she said: "You know what's great about this job? You can be bald for a day.

"You can have a partner for a day. You can hang off the back of a motorcycle for a day.

"I love that, through my films, I can be someone other than me for a period of time. Who wouldn't want to have that kind of adventure in life?"

and for her action movie Knight & Day Diaz reveals that she was thrilled to be working alongside Cruise once again.

"That was a great movie, but pretty serious stuff. I was so excited to work with Tom again because I knew this would be a whole new world for us together.

"We could crack a smile, drive really fast and then run while things were blowing up."

Knight & day is released 2nd July.
