Cameron Diaz To Star In Green Hornet

Cameron Diaz has confirmed she will star in the 'Green Hornet'.

The 37-year-old actress will play masked crime fighter Britt Reid's love interest Lenore "Casey" Case, a tenacious reporter who has no idea about her friend's true identity.

Seth Rogen will play Britt, while Oscar-winning French screenwriter Michel Gondry will direct.

Cameron has been rumoured to be linked to the film for months, but only officially signed on in the past few weeks.

The blonde beauty told MTV: "I'm in. I am making Michel Gondry's movie and I am very, very excited about it."

Pre-production work on the film - due to be released in June 2010 - has already begun and Cameron is having a ball.

She said: "Seth and Michel are awesome. We're having a really great time."

Cameron also revealed the character of Casey - traditionally a sexy secretary - has been given an "extreme makeover".

She'll have her own little differences. I'm going with Michel, because this is Michel's movie and Seth's movie. So, I'm playing the character that they wrote for us.
