Chris Pine

Chris Pine has revealed that he does find 'big films' scary.

The actor has just finished filming on Star Trek 2, which sees him reprise the role of Captain Kirk while J.J. Abrams is back in the director's chair for the project.

But he realises that there is only so much that he can do as an actor and many things on a project like this is out of his hands.

Speaking to Collider the actor said: "Those big films are scary things. There's so much money behind those things. There's that hype. You enter a machine.

"If you're a part of that process of whether it's going to fail or succeed, you're only human and you hope that it does well.

"But, there's only so much, as an actor, that you can do. People are either going to respond to it or not, and I would drive myself crazy if I tried to control it anymore than that, other than a really fervent desire that people come and watch it and like it."

Pine took over the role of Kirk for the first time back in 2009 as Abrams took the story of the Enterprise and it's crew right back to the beginning.

Pine is not the only one returning for the sequel as Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Simon Pegg and Karl Urban will all be reprising roles.

The Star Trek sequel is released 17th May 2013.
