Chris Hemsworth says that there is a real Game of Throne feel to Thor: The Dark World.

The actor is set to reprise the title character for a second stand alone movie and Alan Taylor from TV series Game of Thrones is in the director’s chair this time around.

And the Aussie actor says there is a completely different feel to the new movie this time around.

Speaking to Total Film the actor said: "It’s been great. It’s a lot bigger than what we did previously.

"The first one worked and people loved it, but this just has a totally different feel. There’s a definite Game of Thrones vibe thanks to Alan."

Hemsworth has had a super successful 2012 with The Cabin in the Woods, Snow White and the Huntsman and Avengers Assemble all being successes at the box office - the latter in particular as it became the third biggest grossing movie of all time.

And that looks set to continue into 2013 as Thor: The Dark World and Rush will be hitting the big screen in the autumn.

He is also set to begin work on Robopocalypse with Steven Spielberg and actress Anne Hathaway.

Thor: The Dark World is released 30th October.
