Christina Aguilera Thrilled With Golden Globe Noms

Christina Aguilera has revealed that she is thrilled with the Golden Globe nominations for her new movie Burlesque.

The singer makes her big screen debut in the UK this week as she stars alongside Cher and Stanley Tucci.

The movie has been nominated for Best Picture - Musical or Comedy while two of the songs have also been given the nod.

In a statement she said: "I want to thank the HFPA for recognising our song 'Bound To You'. It is a ballad Sia and I wrote from the heart and one that I am extremely proud of.

"I am thrilled that our film Burlesque was nominated for a Golden Globe award,"

“Making this movie was a life-changing experience and I couldn't be more pleased that the Foreign Press has recognised the hard work the cast and I put into it."

Burlesque is released 17th December.
