Colin Farrell has revealed that Steven Spielberg's movie E.T.is the movie that inspired him to go into acting.
The actor says that the movie took him away to another world and it kicked off his desire to be a part of that process.
In an interview with The Sun Farrell said: "I cried and I just loved it. I was taken away completely to another world.
"It inspired in me all sorts of thoughts, emotions, and it has stayed with me very much. E.T. really did it for me."
The actor has enjoyed box office success this year with Fright Night and Horrible Bosses, two very good comedic roles from the actor.
He has just finished filming the remake of Total Recall and is currently working on Seven Psychopaths, which also stars Woody Harrelson and Christopher Walken.
