Couples Retreat Back At Aussie #1

3 weeks ago 27th Oct 10:42

Couples Retreat has climbed one place to one again top the Australian box office.

Vince Vaughn's latest comedy was toppled last week by horror movie The Final Destination but a $1.3 million gross secured the top spot.

It was also one place up this week for Mao's Last Dancer as it moved from three to two. The movie is based on the autobiography by Li Cunxin who, at the age of 11, was plucked from a poor Chinese village by Madame Mao's cultural delegates and taken to Beijing to study ballet.

Last week's number one The Final Destination dropped two places to number three after just one week at the top.

The success of the Saw franchise continued as Saw VI opened at four, backed up it's #2 position in America this week, and it was the only new entry inside the top five.

Julie & Julia dropped one place from four to round off that top five.

Sandra Bullock is back with a new movie All About Steve which was a new entry at seven while the much talked about An Education was the third and final new movie in at nine.

This week's biggest faller can in the form of Up which dropped three places from five to eight.
