Daniel Craig Wants Q To Return To Bond

Daniel Craig has revealed that he would love to see the character of Q return to the revamp of the long standing franchise.

The character was originally played by Desmond Llewelyn and appeared in seventeen of the twenty two movies as head of Q Branch, the fictional research and development division of the British Secret Service.

But in 1999’s The World Is Not Enough an assistant to Q, played by John Cleese, was introduced and he went on to appear in Die Another Day. However the character has been left out of Casino Royale and the most recent Quantum of Solace.

Daniel Craig has found major success as 007, despite the controversy surrounding his casting, and Quantum of Solace has become the most financially successful Bond movie of all time.

The film, which has grossed over $419 million worldwide to date, and topped but US and UK box office charts.

The film is a direct sequel to the 2006 film Casino Royale, which introduced Craig to the franchise.
