No Dragon Tattoo for India's Film Fans

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo remake will not be released in India because director David Fincher refuses to make cuts to appease the country's censors.

Officials at India's Central Board of Film Certification stalled their verdict on the film and have now declared it contains too much nudity.

Variety reports that distribution has been cancelled because of the stand-off between the censors and Fincher, who refuses to edit his film.

A spokesperson for Columbia Pictures in India says, "The Censor Board has adjudged the film unsuitable for public viewing in its unaltered form".
