David Tennant

SPOILER ALERT

David Tennant has revealed that it was the character of Peter Vincent that drew him to his latest movie Fright Night.

The actor is set to join an all star cast that includes Colin Farrell, Anton Yelchin, Toni Collete and Christopher Mintz-Plasee.

Speaking to Total Film the actor said: "It was the part (of illusionist Peter Vincent), which was so juicy.

"But the whole package was irresistible  - to work on a film with the kind of resources we only dream of in this country and with Colin Farrell who is a huge star and a lovely bloke.

"Plus it’s not about an emo vampire."

Fright Night is directed by Craig Gillespie, the man behind Mr Woodcock and Lars and the Real Girl, in what is a remake of the popular eighties movie.

And the actor admits that he would possibly be open to a sequel. "I would be a fool to say no to something like that, especially I had such a good time on this one.

"My character still has a head at the end so I suppose that’s promising."

Fright Night is released 2nd September.
