Edward Norton feared he would be "locked up" preparing for his new movie.
The 'Fight Club' star plays identical twins in his new movie 'Leaves of Grass' and admits he worried people would question his sanity while getting ready for the roles.
He said: "To prepare I needed me, alone in a room working it out. Someone would have locked me up if they'd seen me preparing for this. I went to Oklahoma where I could be alone, because if I stayed in New York they'd have seen me walking down the street muttering to myself."
So if you offer them two great roles in the same movie, you pretty much own them - they do whatever you want them to do
Despite the stresses, Edward - whose roles in the film are of a philosophy professor and a marijuana grower - said it was his "dream" film.
He explained to MTV: "Most actors will confess, I think, they dream and scrap and claw for one great role. So if you offer them two great roles in the same movie, you pretty much own them - they do whatever you want them to do."
