Elijah Wood has described the script for The Hobbit as 'incredible'.
It's been eight years since The Lord of the Rings trilogy came to an end and now Wood is heading back to New Zealand for a small part in The Hobbit.
Peter Jackson son is back in the director's chair as he has split the popular novel into two movies.
And Wood has already seen a script and is excited about the project.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Wood said: "I read the first script and it's incredible.
"It definitely expounds upon the book; there are already characters that are cast that are not in the book, so that indicates that it goes slightly outside the boundaries in the structure of the original novel."
Brit actor Martin Freeman has been cast in the role of Bilbo Baggins while Ian McKellan will reprise the role of Gandalf.
Luke Evans, Richard Armitage, Benedict Cumberbatch and Evangeline Lilly are other new names on the cast list while Hugo Weaving, Cate Blanchett and Orlando Bloom are all set to return.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is set for a 14th December release date.
