Emma Thompson "doesn't make" children's films.
The 'Nanny McPhee' star - who is currently working on the movie's sequel, 'Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang' - says she doesn't view any of her movies as being specific for families.
She told BANG Showbiz: "I don't call them kids' films, 'Nanny McPhee' is an adult film. I make films for people, I don't make them for children, that would be daft.
"In our film you've got Maggie Smith, Ralph Fiennes, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Rhys Ifans, Bill Bailey - I can't think of a cast who would draw me into the cinema more, so that's the most important thing on my list at the moment."
Meanwhile, her 'Last Chance Harvey' co-star Dustin Hoffman says he wants to work with the British actress again and would like to appear in her next project.
When asked if he wanted to be in 'Nanny McPhee And The Big Bang', Dustin nodded and said: "Tell her".
