Eva Mendes admits that she jumped at the chance to work with Will Ferrell on The Other Guys because she is such a huge fan of Anchorman.
Mendes joins Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson and Samuel L. Jackson in the comedy cop movie, which is directed by Ferrell's long time collaborator Adam McKay.
And the actress reveals that she is such a bit fan of Anchorman that she didn't need to be asked twice to take on the role of Dr. Sheila Gamble.
Speaking to the Belfast Telegraph the actress said: "This movie they didn't have to work on me at all, at all. Anchorman is my favourite movie of all time - I've called it my Citizen Caine, I've called it my Gone With The Wind.
"So when these guys called I went running, running, running.
"Honestly I've never worked like this, so much improv and I've never had so much fun on a set."
Mendes reunited with Nicolas Cage earlier this year for Bad Lieutenant, her only movie of 2010 so far, but has already completed
filming on Last Night and is set to start work on Southbound.
The Other Guys 2nd September.
