Hollywood beauty Eva Mendes has killed off reports she's set to star in zombie sci-fi thriller Resident Evil: Afterlife, insisting she'd "never" join the computer game-based franchise.
The Latina actress was linked to the role of Excella Gionne in August (09), allegedly joining a cast which includes Milla Jovovich and Heroes star Ali Larter.
But Mendes is adamant she has nothing to do with the next Resident Evil sequel - and she has no desire to ever take on such a role.
Asked whether the rumours are true, she told FemaleFirst, "God, no! No, no, no! Never!" In other news the Ghost Rider star is doubtful she will return for a planned sequel to the 2007 comic book movie, because she's yet to be approached by filmmakers.
I think it was a great experience, and I was so proud of it. It was fun... but I think it's done. But look, hey, if it's Nicolas Cage again - I'll do anything with him.
The Hollywood beauty portrayed Nicolas Cage's on-screen love interest Roxanne Simpson in the action film.
She had previously ruled out reprising her character for a second installment of Ghost Rider, insisting she would only ever consider the job if Cage was also on board for the project.
Mendes said, "I think it was a great experience, and I was so proud of it. It was fun... but I think it's done. But look, hey, if it's Nicolas Cage again - I'll do anything with him."
Screenwriter David Goyer recently confirmed he was working on a Ghost Rider follow-up - but Mendes knows nothing about a sequel.
She says, "I haven't heard anything about that."
